Goodwill Pathways to Success Project

Goodwill Industries of Northwest Texas (GINWT) developed a youth optimization project called “Pathways to Success” in East Lubbock. This will encompass 5,000 sq. ft. Career Resource Center (CRC) with three digital skills training rooms, a soft skills training room, a breakroom, and six offices. Additionally, the CRC will include a reception area with an 8-station computer bank accessible to the community for job skills development and job search purposes. Individual coaches will facilitate resume writing, interview prep, job search assistance, career enhancement seminars, financial literacy, and soft skill development.
GINWT purchased a 1.6-acre lot at 504 North MLK Jr. Blvd, located across the street from Estacado High School, and Guadalupe-Parkway Sommerville Neighborhood Center, and next to a Dollar General.

In addition to building a CRC, the adjoining 10,000 sq. ft. Goodwill store will offer work opportunities for youth and adults in the community to experience job success through learning and incorporating Goodwill’s “Core 4” during on the job training. GINWT believes the organization’s Core 4 learned behaviors provide a strong foundation for success in both work and life. Youth Internships will be offered with three sessions each year at $12.75/hour for 20 hours per week. Internships will include leadership development training and hands-on job skills training in the store.

Core 4 Values:
• Be on Time
• Be Honest
• Work Hard
• Be Respectful of Others
